Artist Pass

Fan clubs for music artists, not adult content.

Artist Pass is the music-first place for artists to sell closer access: early music videos, fan-only videos, unreleased demos, private drops, behind-the-scenes studio clips, stems, loops, listening parties, supporter badges, and subscriber-only updates.

Artist chooses price
Artist-set pricing

Let creators decide what their access is worth.

Instead of forcing every artist into one price, Artist Pass should let each musician set their own monthly price and benefits. A new artist can keep it low; a larger artist can price premium access higher.

Flexible monthly supportThe artist chooses the price shown to fans before publishing Artist Pass.
Optional one-time unlocksGreat for beat packs, stems, live session replays, or special fan drops.
Clear access labelsPosts can be public, followers-only, subscribers-only, early access, or one-time unlocks.
What fans unlock

Give supporters something that feels alive.

The point is not just “pay me.” It should feel like getting closer to the artist’s process.

Early music videos

Fans can watch a new video before the public drop.

Fan-only music videos

Artists can make videos that live only inside Artist Pass.

Demos and private drops

Unreleased hooks, alternate mixes, voice memo ideas, and private previews.

Stems, loops, and beat packs

Creators can share production assets for fans and collaborators to study or flip when rights allow it.

Behind-the-song clips

Studio footage, lyric notes, gear breakdowns, and how the track came together.

Supporter-only comments

A cleaner space for deeper fan replies, listening notes, and direct artist updates.

Private fan messages

Fans can start music-focused conversations, request updates, and ask about songs without turning the app into random spam.

Supporter polls

Artists can ask fans which cover, hook, demo, remix, or video cut should drop next.

Drop vault

Organize fan-only music, videos, updates, stems, lyrics, demos, and behind-the-scenes media in one place.

Creator tools

The known fan-platform features, rebuilt for music.

Artist Pass should borrow the parts fans already understand — paid access, exclusive posts, private updates, creator control, and supporter identity — then focus all of it around songs, sessions, videos, and releases.

Paid access postsArtists mark each post as public, followers-only, Artist Pass, early access, or one-time unlock.
Direct fan relationshipsMusic-focused messages, collaboration requests, pinned fan replies, and supporter badges.
Content bundlesArtists can package a music video, demo, stems, lyric notes, and studio breakdown into one release moment.
Safety controlsReports, blocks, explicit labels, copyright flags, moderation review, and subscriber-only comment controls.
Flow

How it should work in the app.

1Create an Artist Pass draft

The artist opens their profile and taps Set up Artist Pass.

2Pick price + benefits

They write what fans get and set a monthly price they choose.

3Choose access per post

Each song, video, demo, or update can be public, followers-only, subscribers-only, early access, or one-time unlock.

4Fans join from artist pages

Fans see the value clearly, subscribe when available, and get notified about new drops.

Payments + payouts

Web checkout is how artists get paid.

Artist Pass should use Humminbird’s website checkout with Stripe Connect-style payouts: fans subscribe on the web, Humminbird records the subscription entitlement, and the iOS/Android apps unlock that artist’s fan-only music after the account syncs.

Fan pays on web

The website handles artist subscriptions, one-time unlocks, refunds, receipts, tax details, and customer support.

Artist gets paid

Connected artist payout accounts receive their share after platform, processing, refund, and Humminbird fees.

App unlocks access

Firebase entitlements tell the app which Artist Pass posts, videos, demos, and drops each fan can access.

7-day payout hold

At launch, Artist Pass payouts should be held for 7 days so refunds, failed payments, and early fraud signals can be handled before funds leave Humminbird.

Refunds revoke access

Full refunds end the related Artist Pass access immediately. Partial refunds can keep access active unless support decides otherwise.

Chargebacks pause access

Disputes suspend access and block payout until the dispute is resolved. If the dispute is won, access can be restored.
