Uber-like booking, built around music realities.
The flow is simple for hosts, but protective for performers: request details first, mutual acceptance, deposit before the calendar is locked, final payout after the gig, and a dispute trail if something goes wrong.
1. Discover local acts
Search by city, radius, genre, act type, event type, availability, price range, rating, reviews, and preview sounds.
2. Request the gig
Send date, time, venue area, crowd size, set length, equipment needs, budget, and notes. Artists can accept, decline, or counter.
3. Pay the advance
Once accepted, the host pays a deposit through web checkout. Humminbird records the booking and fee before the event is locked.
4. Perform and confirm
After the set, the host confirms completion. The artist can also request completion review if the host does not respond.
5. Release payout
The remaining payout releases after the hold window unless there is a cancellation, refund, safety report, no-show, or dispute.
6. Review and rebook
Both sides can leave music-specific feedback: crowd fit, punctuality, sound quality, professionalism, and venue readiness.
Not just DJs — any music act that can show up and perform.
Humminbird Live can support club DJs, wedding DJs, vocalists, rappers, bands, instrumentalists, producers, beat sets, release-party hosts, studio-session musicians, listening-party hosts, openers, and branded event performers.
Advance upfront, final payout after completion.
Recommended launch structure: host pays a 30% deposit when the artist accepts. Humminbird takes a 10–15% marketplace fee from successful bookings. The remaining artist payout is released after completion confirmation and a short hold window.
Live events need stronger rules than normal posts.
Before payments go live, Humminbird Live should require verified payout onboarding for artists, clear cancellation terms, prohibited off-platform payment pressure, safety reporting, location privacy, event address visibility controls, and support review for disputes.
Location privacy
Show approximate areas during discovery. Reveal exact venue details only after the booking is accepted and deposit is paid.
Connected payouts
Performers should complete payout onboarding before accepting paid bookings.
Clear receipts
Every booking should show deposit, balance, fee, refund policy, cancellation window, and payout state.
